1. We require full payment of the event in advance and your booking is non refundable, unless the event is cancelled.
2. Events are subject to availability and The Hambrough/Pond Cafe have the right to postpone the events.
The Hambrough Restaurant
1. We require at least 2 days notice to cancel a booking in its entirety. If cancellations are made after the required date of cancellation (48 hours prior to booking), you hereby authorize us to deduct a fee of £60 per person for dinner, or £32 per person for lunch, which will be charged to the credit card guaranteeing the reservation. An email will be sent to the email address supplied serving as proof of cancellation.
2. Credit card details must be provided at the time of booking in order to secure a reservation. Your card will be charged in the event of cancellation of either the entire booking, or any reduction in numbers of the party, as set out above.
We are sorry that cancellation charges have become necessary but regrettably we must take this precaution.
The Hambrough Rooms
If you intend to pay for someone’s stay and you will not be present at the point of check-in to show your payment card, for the protection of the card holder a completed Third Party Payment Form is required. This can be obtained by calling our reservations team on 01983 856333 or emailing info”thehambrough.com
Rooms cannot be transferred without prior notice. We are only able to check in guests who have booked and paid for the room online or via our reservations team.
Cancellation Policy for Hambrough Rooms
7 days or less prior to arrival your booking will be refunded, anytime before 7 days will result in a 50% refund from your pre-paid booking.
Unfortunately we have no control over the ferry services or weather conditions at all times therefore, we advise guests take travel insurance as pre-paid room bookings are non-refundable 7 days prior to your arrival.
Extra Person Charges for Hambrough Rooms
Extra persons in any room (more than two) are subject to a supplement
Children under 3 are FREE
Children over 3 and up to 10 – £15 per person, per night
Anyone 10 years and above – £30 per person, per night
Corkage for Hambrough Rooms
We would like to inform you that a corkage charge will be added to your bill for any wine or champagne which has not been purchased from our own list. The current charges are £15 wine, £25 champagne. (These charges do not apply on Sundays & Mondays)
The price of the accommodation is inclusive of gas, electricity and rates. You are not expected to clean the accommodation on departure however daily housekeeping is not included during your stay. Towels are not included in the price but can be rented at an additional charge – please indicate if you would like towels provided when booking.
There are also other optional items to purchase in the villa such as bath products, Nespresso coffee, wine and Champagne.
On booking we require a 25% non-refundable deposit of the accommodation total. Five weeks prior to your arrival we will also require full payment of the outstanding balance (accommodation).
We allow well behaved pets in the Villa Apartment only. There is an additional one off charge of £25 to cover the cost of cleaning.
Cancellation and Insurance
By making your booking, our agreement is a legal contract and your deposit is non-refundable. If you need to cancel your stay and the booking cannot be re-let, you are still liable to pay the booking in full even if you have not paid the balance.
If we succeed in re-letting the booking, you are no longer liable for the balance, or we will refund it to you if you have already paid in full. Any refund would be subject to an administration charge of £25 as well as any difference in price of the new letting compared with the original price.
We would recommend that you take out insurance to cover this potential cost.
Non-availability of Accommodation
We would only cancel your holiday if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would however attempt to offer you alternative accommodation. If this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the holiday. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Your accommodation will be available to you from 4pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. We are unlikely to be able to accommodate you earlier than this time due to the accommodation being cleaned after previous guests.
Late arrival procedure
Please ensure you contact us to let us know if you will be arriving late, we will do our very best to accommodate this.
Please leave the accommodation by 10am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged. Any outstanding monies will need to be settled on departure at The Hambrough as well as the return of keys. (Any unreturned keys will be charged to your account).
Please ensure that you the accommodation is left in the condition that you would expect to arrive in.
The villa must be clear of any personal belongings – we will apply appropriate charges for the return of any items that are left behind.
Damages and Breakages
Please take care when staying in our property. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damage, which you cause, to the accommodation and contents and exterior including garden area or its contents. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant.
Villa Lavinia has a maximum capacity of 10 people and The Villa Apartment caters for 4. Infants below 18 months of age are not included in these numbers. Exceeding these limits will lead to termination of your stay with us. (No refund will be given if your stay is terminated by us for not adhering to the limits set out above)
Consideration of others
Whilst staying at the villa, we kindly ask that consideration be given to other guests and neighbours. Please be mindful especially late in the evening. Failure to do this may result in the termination of your stay.
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party, vehicles or possessions unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
Any data collected during the course of this booking will be stored on our computer(s). With your kind permission, we may from time to time contact you about any promotions and offers. We will not share your details with any third party.
The winner will be announced at the end of every month. Please note all information you have provided will be kept confidential. The competition winner can redeem the prize Tuesday to Thursday and selected Sundays only within 2 months of winning.
