Robert Thompson to meet HM The Queen

Chef Robert Thompson creates a Hamper for Her Majesty The Queen on the forthcoming visit to The Isle of Wight for the Diamond Jubilee UK tour.

Her Majesty The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, will mark the year of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with a series of regional visits throughout the United Kingdom.

Touring the country by road, rail, air and sea, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh will travel widely across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

These visits will give Her Majesty the opportunity to express her thanks to people throughout the country for their continued support and loyalty.

The last stop on the Diamond Jubilee UK tour is the Isle of Wight on the 25th July 2012, where Robert Thompson from The Hambrough will present a Hamper to Her Majesty The Queen with local produce carefully selected by Robert and Serena from “Made on the Isle of Wight”.

Items from The Hamper include: Colin Boswell’s Garlic from The Garlic Farm, Golden Tomato Juice from the Tomato Stall. Richard Hodgson’s Isle of Wight Blue Cheese from The Isle of Wight Cheese Company, Ale of Wight from Goddards Brewery, Jubilee Sparkling Wine from Adgestone Vineyard and Isle of Wight Honey from Mary Case.

Serena from Made on the Isle of Wight says ‘We are proud to have worked with Robert Thompson to create this hamper.  Since opening Made on the Isle of Wight 18 months ago we have discovered an astonishingly wide range of high quality goods made here on the Island and we are delighted to have been able to suggest some that we thought H.M. The Queen might enjoy.’
